But here's a secret. The best part about Baptisia isn't the flower. The flowers are fairly short lived and the season is fast. The foliage and seed pods on the other hand can be cut all summer and into autumn. It's not a perfect substitution for Eucalyptus, but it has a similar blue grey color and airy texture.
