These are the fanciest cabbages you'll ever see. Most of your customers won't recognize them as brassicas, but they grow in the same conditions. They are frost tolerant and a great way to bulk up those late season bouquets.
We plant them in late May on our farm in Vermont, and then they are colored up and harvestable around the middle of September. Growers in warmer areas will often plant in the fall for late winter/early spring harvest. Cool weather is necessary to get the colors to develop.
Colors will vary with conditions. There may be little difference between pink, rose, and red. White will blush pink in some conditions.
