New Year, new calendar! Do you use a 52-week calendar for your business?
Week 1 of a 52-week calendar is defined by the International Organization for Standardization, which recognizes Week 1 as the first week with a Thursday in it. Each Week that follows maps cleanly to the prior and following years, regardless of how the dates shift over time. One notable feature of the 52-week calendar is that each week begins on Monday.
Merchants call this calendar Retail Weeks, while agriculture calls the same calendar Horticulture Weeks.
Farmer Bailey's Ship Weeks correspond to the universal Horticulture Weeks, and can be used to guide your crop plan, take notes through the season, and organize your order schedule - without getting caught up in exact dates which move slightly from year to year.
