Established in 1992 and based in Canby, Oregon, TERRA NOVA® is a tissue culture propagator and a grower of both annuals and perennials. Throughout their 25+ year history, they have constantly focused on breeding, marketing, propagation and licensing efforts.

Farmer Bailey is proud to bring you new, long-stemmed cultivars from the TERRA NOVA® catalog. Every variety in the TERRA NOVA® catalog is propagated from tissue culture, sourced from an ideal plant and cloned. This process ensures the most vigorous plant possible, possessing all of the superior trait of its parent.

Wide ranges of Echinacea, Kniphofia, Penstemon, Dicentra, Hellebore and Heuchera are joined by standout cultivars Geum Firestorm and Rudbeckia Little Henry, among others.

TERRA NOVA® is known for popularizing new Heuchera varieties emphasizing foliage, not flowers, in a rainbow of colors. TERRA NOVA® is also the world’s most prolific breeder of new Coleus selections, and has introduced numerous new selections of Tiarella, Heucherella, Echinacea, Agastache, Coreopsis, Sedum, Kniphofia, Penstemon, Nepeta and Leucanthemum.

Holding more than 700+ active plant patents in the United States and Europe, they have introduced over 1,000+ new plants, including some developed by others. To drive this pace of constant innovation, the nursery has invested more than $1 million annually in plant research and development and built a team of top-notch in-house breeders.

From the beginning, TERRA NOVA® has refrained from genetic modification of plants and has not used plant growth regulators to alter the final product.
