    Hi –
I just got my dried flower collection. Holy cow! Each plug contains 3 to 4 seedlings. The roots are very entwined. Can you advise me about the easiest and most successful was to transplant seedlings that were so tightly sown? For instance, the orlaya – its very labor intensive to pull that many seedling apart. I would typically thin them out if they weren’t so tight entwined. It will take all weekend to sort and plant some. I will need to bump up the majority of the ones that can be planted later. It;s labor I wasn’t anticipating.

    Suggestions?

    Marian

Hi Marian, thank you for your order. Seedlings that arrive double sown are intentional. These crops like to grow with a friend. If there are more than 2 per cell, simply decapitate the weaker sprouts and leave the 2 strongest to plant out.  There is no need to disturb the roots. -Felicia
