Anyone in the US excluding Hawaii (sorry folks!).
Order Minimums
All roots are sold by the full crate. Peonies are packed 40 or 50 roots per crate, depending on the variety.

You will receive a confirmation email from info@farmerbailey.com shortly after placing your order.
Substitutions and Shortages
In the unlikely event of a shortage, we will reach out to find a solution; be that a substitution, refund, or a combination thereof.
Cancellations
Peony Root orders cannot be modified or canceled. All Peony sales are final.
Shipping
Cost
Peony Roots ship at a flat rate of $30 per crate to the lower 48 states and $110 per crate to Alaska.
When We Ship
Peony roots are currently estimated to ship in late October or early November 2026. You will receive ship week information via email as our supplier provides us with updates. These plants are actively growing in the Netherlands and any number of factors can affect the digging, washing, sorting, packing, and shipping timeline. It's farming after all! We strive to keep you fully informed every step of the way.
Claims
To file a claim, email info@farmerbailey.com within 24 hours of receiving your order with your 5-digit order number, photos, and a description of the issue. Based on the assessment of our Claims Department, we'll issue the necessary refunds or replacements, when possible.
A special note on mold: It’s completely normal for Peony roots to arrive with a bit of surface mold after their long journey from the Netherlands. This harmless penicillium mold is common on dormant roots and poses no risk to the plants. Simply rinse it off before planting, and if you wish, treat with a fungicide or biofungicide as an extra precaution.
Farmer Bailey is not liable for roots that do not emerge or thrive the following spring(s) if no claim was filed at the time of the order's arrival.
