Everything You Need To Know: Clematis, Hydrangea, Astilbe, & Philadelphus

What You'll Receive

The Clematis and Astilbe will ship to you as bare roots, the Hydrangea are shipped in pots, and the Philadelphus are large plugs that have been removed from their tray for shipping. The Astilbe are Dutch, the Hydrangea are grown in Maryland, and the Philadelphus comes to us from Oregon. 
 

Who Can order

Anyone in the lower 48 US states. 

Individual (non-business) customers can enter their email address on the Login Page to create a customer account and begin ordering immediately. These retail customers are subject to state sales tax.

Farms and other businesses may apply for a wholesale B2B (Business to Business) account here.  We will review your application within 5 business days. If approved, you will be sent a "B2B Access Invitation Email" to login to your new wholesale account and begin ordering. At this same time, you will also receive an email request to submit your tax exemption certificate. Until this certificate is received and validated, you will be subject to state sales tax.  Wholesale B2B customers receive first access to new items, and exclusive access to items with limited availability. 
 

When we Ship

All of these orders will ship in early April 2025. Specific ship/delivery dates cannot be accommodated. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information as soon as your order is on its way.

Order Minimums

REQUIRED: We require a 2 item minimum in each order.

All Clematis and Astilbe will be sold in bundles of 25. Philadelphus will be sold in bundles of 10. Hydrangea Greenphire, Magical Midnight Pearl, and Ruby Snow will be sold in bundles of 16. Hydrangea Ruby Red Mophead, Verdigris, Magical Candle, and Magical Amazone Mophead will be sold in bundles of 9. 

The minimum order is 2 total bundles.

Order Confirmation

You will receive a confirmation email from info@farmerbailey.com shortly after placing your order. 

Substitutions and Shortages

In the unlikely event of an unexpected shortage, we will reach out to you to find a solution; be that a substitution, refund, or a combination thereof.

Cancellations

Cancellations will be accepted until March 1, 2025.  To cancel an order, email info@farmerbailey.com with your 5 digit order number. Your order is not considered cancelled until you have received a confirmation email from Farmer Bailey. Farmer Bailey reserves the right to retain a 10% cancellation fee. After March 1st, Hydrangea, Celmatis, Astilbe & Philadelphus orders cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Shipping

Shipping

Clematis, Hydrangea, Astilbe & Philadelphus orders will be shipped in early April via FedEx. Please note that orders from other producers (Gro 'n Sell, Plug Connection, 3 Porch Farm, Terra Nova & our separate Dutch Bare Roots) cannot be combined with Hydrangea, Astilbe & Philadelphus orders.

All Clematis, Hydrangea, Astilbe & Philadelphus orders are sold in bundles of 25, 16, 10 or 9 plants, as indicated in the item description. Two bundles will fit in one shipping box. Do note that bare roots shipped in partially-filled boxes will be just fine and totally safe. These are not nearly as fragile as plugs, and will be secure in the box with packing material. 

All orders ship for a flat rate of $20 per box. One box contains two bundles.

Damaged/Missing Items 

Damaged Plants

Damage in transit is unlikely, but always a possibility when shipping plant material, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or frustration if this occurs. But fear not! We will work with you to make things right.

Claims. To file a claim, fill out this form within 24 hours of receiving your order. Based on our assessment, we'll issue the necessary refund(s) right away.
