Addressing Lisianthus Backorders

Innovation is at the heart of the plug industry. To continue improving quality and efficiency, our growers are always exploring new techniques. This year, both of our plug production facilities have been trialing a new method of growing Lisianthus - one that has long been the standard in Japan. This technique involves germinating seeds under cooler temperatures and chilling the seedlings for a couple weeks. When successful, it shortens production time by 3-4 weeks, allowing us to ship Lisianthus plugs earlier in the season and grow more Lisianthus plugs overall.

However, as with any new method, there are challenges. Our growers have encountered lower-than-expected germination rates, which has led to delays and backorders. We understand how frustrating this is and truly appreciate your patience as we work through these growing pains.
