Snapdragon Snapstar (Coming Soon!)
Snapstar is still isn't officially on the market yet. The breeders need time to build up seed stock. As of now we don't have seed for Fall 2025 but we are hopeful that this will change soon. Use the "Notify Me" button to be the first to know when it comes back in stock! We unfortunately do not have an ETA for this.
This was one of our favorites from the 2024 Summer Flower Trials in Holland! This is a new series from trusted breeder, Sakata. Snapstar has fully double flowers on strong straight stems, and blooms uniformly across the whole series. This is one of the first commercial forcing snapdragons developed with this double flower form. It is considered Group 1 and 2 for winter and early spring flowering - it would likely perform best if planted in the fall under a tunnel.
These are sold as a combination tray of 4 colors. You will receive 32 plants each of all 4 colors in the series, White, Pink, Champagne, and Yellow (not pictured). This series is not available in large commercial quantities yet so supply is very limited at this time.
We have designed a new tray insert that will allow us to start shipping combination trays! These are made of 100% recycled plastic and can be recycled or reused after your plugs arrive. Expect to see many more combinations on offer for the 2025 shipping season. This is our first product we have offered in this exciting new format.

About Tray Sizes
210 and 125 cell trays are full-sized trays, and three of these will fit in a shipping box.
50 cell trays are half-sized trays (unless otherwise noted) and two of these are the equivelent of one full sized tray. Six of these will fit in a shipping box.
18 and 32 cell trays are full sized trays specifically for our vernalized perennials. These have their own set of shipping rules (find details HERE) and cannot be combined with items grown in 210, 125, or 50 cell trays.

Post Harvest Care |
Harvest into a holding solution. Snapdragons are moderately sensitive to ethylene.
|
Diseases / Insects |
Generally easy growing. Rust is an issue in some environments. Harlequin bugs love snapdragons in summer.
|
Bailey's Notes |
When planted in fall or late winter, snapdragons will reach 3-4' easily. Different series bloom at different times and you can extend your harvest window by planting several series at the same time.
