Chrysanthemums are quintessentially autumnal yet adept at disguise, with blooms that masquerade as dahlias or daisies long past Halloween.
Seven new looks in 3 Porch Farm Heirloom Mums have just been added to farmerbailey.com, expanding the selection of rooted cuttings to 22 varieties ideal for cut flowers. Additional capacity has been added for previously sold out varieties like Seaton's Coffee.
New additions include light-eyed Lily Anderton and Harry Anderton, posing as pastel daisies. Spider mum Mocha serves hot chocolate goth glamour, while cute Pink Fleece and vibrant Bronze Fleece glow with smaller flowers in great profusion. Pillowy, incurving Kokka Houghgiku shows traditional Chrysanthemum elegance in an irresistible shade, while quilled Vienna Waltz has more whimsicality of personality.
These heirloom varieties are easily propagated from cuttings on your own farm. Each order includes a care card, and instructions on how to propagate your mums to increase your harvest. Heirloom Mums are long-stemmed (2.5-5" feet!) and last at least two weeks in the vase.
