Learning Lisianthus with Farmer Bailey’ Hale goes live on Zoom, November 21 at 6:30pm EST/5:30pm CT. This virtual cut flower short course is open to the public and free with registration. Bailey will discuss Lisianthus production for flower farmers in a one-hour class with Q&A at the end.

Learning Lisianthus with Farmer Bailey is co-hosted by the University of Kentucky, Kentucky Horticulture Council, and Center for Crop Diversification.

    I have a great demand from florists for lisianthus. I would like to know how to have successions over a longer time to extend my sales. If I plant them in a tunnel, will it make much of a difference or are they primarily dependent on day length?

    Do deer like lisianthus? Are there varieties that are more deer resistant?
