All About Campanula Evergreen, Kilimanjaro, and Mont Blanc
The floral hive mind is abuzz with excitement about Campanula Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro, and Evergreen series from Dutch plant breeder Fiona Noordam of Stadsland.
In recent weeks, Erin Benzakein of Floret Flower has been sharing visions of her Campanula Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro, and Evergreen series crops on her lively Instagram account, turning many a head with the sculptural, striped, and double blooms.
Farmer Bailey is the exclusive supplier of these exciting series of plug plants in the USA. These new hybrid varieties are propagated solely via tissue culture; no seeds are sold. Tissue culture propagation results in each plant retaining all of the outstanding qualities of its parent.
Campanula Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro, and Evergreen are true biennials, and must be planted in the fall to bloom the following spring. The plug trays will ship this fall, starting in week 38. We recommend ordering for week 38 and transplanting immediately on arrival to ensure the plant has time to establish before the cooler darker days of winter.
Are you interested in growing the future of Campanula? Both Farmer Bailey (wholesale trays of 25) and Garden Club Plants (retail 3-packs) will make plug plants available to both flower farmers and gardeners in the lower 48 US states in just a few weeks.

Succeeding with Campanula medium requires transplanting at the correct time and giving them the right conditions to bloom. They have only been tested in high tunnels, and there is no official hardiness data yet. We expect them to be just fine down to 20F.
