A great container habit and is long lasting in the garden; a great improvement over the still popular 'Gold Heart'. Exceptional vigor.

Harvesting Cut stems when about half of the heart shaped flowers have opened.
Post Harvest Care Cut stems should immediately be placed into cool water. Expect a vase life of close to two weeks. The use of a floral preservative will help to maximize vase life.
Diseases / Insects Aphids are a possible pest, most other insect pests leave it alone. If planted in an area with poor drainage or poor growing conditions, wilts, root rots and leaf spots are all possible.
Bailey's Notes

Bleeding hearts are the perfect addition to shady areas of the yard or flower field where other popular cut flower varieties might not thrive. Although they tolerate shade, they will not be as floriferous in deep shade and the best quality cut stems will be achieved when the plants receive at least a few hours of direct light.

The graceful, arching stem of a bleeding heart makes a statement in a bouquet or floral creation. It is often challenging to create this kind of movement when the majority of cut flower stems are rigid and straight.

We are proud to offer some exciting new cultivars from the breeders at Terra Nova that feature multiple colors of foliage and flowers.
