Introducing Farmer's Dozen
New to plugs, short on space, or just testing varieties? Our new Farmer’s Dozen plug collections are designed for you. Each collection includes 12 curated varieties–selected for beauty and compatibility–so you can plant them together for complementary blooms at harvest.
Each mini tray holds 32 plugs per variety, totaling 12 labeled mini trays (3 full trays) that fit perfectly in one Gro ’n Sell shipping box. With smaller quantities and expert curation, it’s never been easier to grow smarter and experiment confidently.
Cool Season Pastel
For those who prefer a softer, muted palette, this collection offers 12 top favorites for a long season of pastel cut flowers and fillers. Although the entire collection should be planted early in the season (about three to four weeks before your last frost), the bloom window is nicely staggered, with the earliest flowers (Stock) appearing well before the late spring and early summer bloomers (Snapdragons, Matricaria, Digitalis).
The Lisianthus will likely be the last to make an appearance in mid-summer, while many of the other varieties are still sending up stems for mixed bouquets. This box leans heavily into blush, white, champagne, and peach tones, providing a cohesive, crowd-pleasing palette for curated arrangements.
For those seeking a curated collection in pastel hues, this Farmer’s Dozen provides blush, champagne and apricot blooms and complimentary fillers from early spring through summer.
Cool Season Bright & Bold
Color is back in, people! Embrace it! Many of us are getting tired of working within the constraints of blush and white. This box celebrates color while still feeling curated - bring in pops of blue and orange alongside your peach and apricot. Color theory supports the pairing of blue and orange as complementary hues, and this box tastefully combines variations within those color groups for a long season of vibrant, beautiful bouquets.
Take the guesswork out of what pairs well - these stems can be harvested and confidently arranged without hesitation. Included in this box are cool-hardy fillers (Matricaria, Daucus, Bells of Ireland, Bupleurum) and focals (Lisianthus, Snaps, Delphinium) that can all be planted about three to four weeks before your last frost for best results.
Embrace color with this collection of complimentary tones in various shades of blue, peach and orange that will bloom in succession from mid spring through to the end of summer.
Cool Season Fillers
We all know how important fillers are - it only takes one or two seasons of growing too many focal flowers and not nearly enough filler material to learn that lesson! There are so many beautiful fillers out there, and it’s hard to narrow the choices to just two or three, especially for smaller growers who don’t necessarily need a full tray of each variety.
This box contains 12 of our tried-and-true fillers that are happiest when planted during cool conditions - about three to four weeks before your last frost is the ideal planting window. This collection includes everything from fancy carrots (Daucus and Ammi) to small, spray-type flowers (Matricaria and Orlaya), farmer favorites like Bells of Ireland and Bupleurum, and beautiful seed pods (Nigella and Lepidium). These fillers will grow strong from early spring through mid-summer, giving you a long season of reliable cut material.
Why choose 2 or 3 fillers when you can grow them all – this collection features 12 favorite fillers including foliage, flowers and seed pods for a long season of interesting colors and textures that complement all palettes.
Cool Season Green & White
Weddings are an integral part of the cut flower industry. Depending on your business model, you might embrace them - or you might have found a way to run in the other direction! We’ve put together a collection of varieties that stick to a traditional white-and-green palette, with wedding designers in mind. While one of these boxes likely won’t provide enough material for an entire wedding, it’s a great way to get to know varieties you may not have tried before and explore their potential for future events. It’s also nice to have a handful of special stems to incorporate into bridal bouquets and boutonnieres to make your designs feel special and unique.
This box contains varieties that cover most of the roles flowers play within an arrangement, including gorgeous green and white fillers (Bupleurum, Ammi, Matricaria); line flowers that add vertical structure, height, and movement (Delphinium, Digitalis, Snapdragons); focal flowers like Lisianthus in multiple forms (ruffled and rose-types); and plenty more. Plant this collection in early spring, about 3-4 weeks before your last frost, and enjoy cut stems from mid-spring through to summer.
This traditional white-and-green palette was curated for wedding designers, offering fillers and focal flowers that will bring any bride’s vision to life.
